DEXTER, Mo. — Mike McCollum, 61, died Oct. 8, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born Oct. 25, 1956, in St. Louis, son of Joyce Lee McCollum Matney of Benton, he had lived most of his life in the Bloomfield and Dexter area. DEXTER, Mo. — Mike McCollum, 61, died Oct. 8, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 25, 1956, in St. Louis, son of Joyce Lee McCollum Matney of Benton, he had lived most of his life in the Bloomfield and Dexter area. He was a truck driver and worked for WW Wood Products in Dudley. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

On Nov. 26, 1994, in Bell City, he married Tammy Hodge, who survives of the home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include: his stepfather, Ray Matney of Benton; four sons, Mike McCollum and Jimmy McCollum of Bloomfield, Cross McCollum of Dexter and Chris Pounds of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Amanda Pounds of Dexter; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday with David Wilson of Bloomfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
