Thomas "Meatman" Bankston

"Missouri Powerball stocks plummeted after hearing the passing of Thomas Bankston, he kept the wheels hot, getting his weekly tickets, his lucky lottery numbers came up and he was picked to meet his heavenly Father.”

Thomas lived a great life. He never hit the lottery, but he was a winner. Thomas won in many ways, he was a veteran of the Air Force, he was an amazing father to Pamela Kirkwood, an awesome grandfather to Austin lee Neal and Catherine lee Neal, "you know the grandpa that lets you pick out the most expensive shoes at school time" and best of all, a Great Grandfather to the legendary Ava Mae Neal born on 8/22/18. It's ironic, a baby born one day, grandpa passes the next. He was overjoyed with the news and was so proud looking at photos of Ava Mae he got to tell his friends that called at the hospital.

"Meatman" was very rich in many ways, he had the best of friends and we all know that, TR Thompson of Portageville, "we are so thankful for you, words can't express our gratitude for all your help, you keep dad's memory alive riding around in that golf cart", Jimmy Barron, "a lifelong friend his whole life, very helpful to us, thank you", Helen Walker, thank you for your loyal

friendship to dad, he always said you were his BFF his whole life that started before kindergarten, his heart and soul belonged to his family and his friends of Wardell, MO.

Thomas passed away on August 23, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital

peacefully in Jackson, TN with daughter Pamela Kirkwood at bedside, he was such an inspiration in my life, and the best role model and my guardian angel, he always said, "If you dream it, eat it, sleep it, you must do it!" "Follow your dreams and take baby steps …”

If you are reading this and you knew him, take a second to smile, share a story about him and laugh, raise your glass and make a toast to the Meatman-the Legend -never forget!
