Don Rodgers
SIKESTON — Donald M. Rodgers, age 81, entered the presence of his Lord on Nov. 12, 2018, at Westfield Nursing Center in Sikeston.
He was born Sept. 19, 1937, in Sikeston, the son of the late Dago and Pauline (Brown) Rodgers.
Don was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a three-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and had co-owned and operated Rodgers Auto Sales with his son, Andy.
On Oct. 1, 1960, he married Barbara (Havener) Rodgers, she preceded him in death Feb. 27, 2000.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Christie Rodgers of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Lauren Simpson (Nathan) of Pendleton, Ind., and Andrew Rodgers and Eli Rodgers of Sikeston; and two great-grandchildren, Levi Simpson and Evan Simpson.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. William Marshall, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, will officiate.
