MARBLE HILL, Mo. — It is with great sadness that the family of Duane Schiferl, of Marble Hill, announce his passing on Dec. 2, 2018. Adored father, son, brother and friend, passed away at his residence from a cardiovascular event at the age of 52.
Duane was born in Trenton, N.J., to Richard M. Schiferl and Mary A. (Hileman) Cook on Jan. 12, 1966. He graduated from Sikeston High School in 1986 and served a brief stint in the Air Force.
Duane was a free spirit, who among his many ventures was a lumberjack for a while. He enjoyed life and loved to make people laugh. He was often found to be passionately opinionated but always the ever faithful friend.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Bria Schiferl. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Tanya Whited; and brother, Rick Schiferl, other relatives and many friends. Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
While his passing was a complete shock to family and friends, a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be private at Crain Funeral Home.
