SIKESTON — Peggy Louise Childers, age 64, passed away on Dec. 19, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 4, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Clem and Peggy Morath Bader, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston and the Daughters of Isabella. She retired from Unilever Ice Cream Plant in Sikeston in 2018 after 24 years of service.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; her grandchildren were her world. She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for her family and friends.

On Dec. 14, 1974, in Glennonville, she married Bob Childers, who survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Barbara Childers of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan and Nicholas Childers and one great-grandson, John Ellis Childers all of Sikeston; three brothers, David Bader of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Bader and Leo Bader both of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Debra Taylor of Poplar Bluff, Rose Wright of Qulin, Sharon Triplett of Dexter and Angie Bader of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston. The Rev. David Dohogne will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Stewart, Jimmy Bader, David Bader, Leo Bader, Gavin Childers and Dylan Childers.
