David Griffin

ADVANCE, Mo. — David Webster Griffin, 71, died Dec. 21, 2018, at his home.

Born June 27, 1947, in Chaffee, son of the late John Webster and Betty Elizabeth Russell Griffin, he was a retired maintenance man for Chaffee Grade School and the City of Chaffee. He was a member of the Faith Family Church of Painton and the First General Baptist Church of Advance. He was in the Army National Guard.

On April 1, 2014, he married Patricia Ann Turner, and she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: a son, Paul Griffin of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Tina  Griffin of Dallas, Vivian Kinder of Benton and Crystal Wade of Zalma; two sisters, Carroll Freerksen and Patricia Bowman of Advance; and 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

 He was also preceded in death by a former wife, Nancy Griffin.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Don Jolliff officiating.

Burial will be in the Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
