LILBOURN, Mo. - Billy R. Roe, Sr., 84, died Dec. 24, 2018, at his home in Lilbourn.

Born Feb. 1, 1934, in Lilbourn, to the late Fred William and Beatrice Travis Roe (Powe) he had been employed in the cotton storage business, beginning with Federal Compress. He retired in December of 2006 from Staple Cotton and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lilbourn.

On Feb. 1, 1953 in Hernando, Miss., he married Rowena Sandlin, who preceded him in death on June 8, 1994.

On May 16, 2006, in Lilbourn, he married Peggy Tucker who survives of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Billy Roe, Jr. of Camden, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Sanda Lynn (Kevin) Zuck of Lilbourn and Krissi Lee Porter of New Madrid, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Roe; and one brother, Fred Roe.

Visitation will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lilbourn, with Bro. Allen Nichols, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Mounds Cemetery near Lilbourn.
