Harold Meadows

SIKESTON — Harold Eugene Meadows, 85, died Dec. 22, 2018, at his home in Sikeston.

Born July 6, 1933, in Packard, Ky., to the late Ben Taylor and Kathleen Meadows, he served in the 2nd infantry division and 23rd Insurgency reconnaissance detachment of the United States Army during Korea and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Tanner Street Church of God and worked construction.

On April 12, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Ruth Ann Olmsted Meadows who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Joseph Meadows of Michigan and Harold Meadows, Jr. of Indiana; three step-sons, William Jr., Paul and Timothy Hess all of Michigan; one step-daughter, Donna Morehead of Michigan; caregiver, Mary Triplett; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Meadows.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
