EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Charles Lee Maxwell, 56, died Nov. 5, 2018, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Nov. 11, 1961, at Wichita, Kan., son of the late Charles T. Maxwell and Gloria Ashley Maxwell, he had lived in Wichita many years before moving to Southeast Missouri. He had been employed as a truck driver and then later as a school bus driver for the Head Start Program at East Prairie and then with T&S Farms at Charleston...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Charles Lee Maxwell, 56, died Nov. 5, 2018, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 11, 1961, at Wichita, Kan., son of the late Charles T. Maxwell and Gloria Ashley Maxwell, he had lived in Wichita many years before moving to Southeast Missouri. He had been employed as a truck driver and then later as a school bus driver for the Head Start Program at East Prairie and then with T&S Farms at Charleston.

On Aug. 21, 1981, he married Karen Ann Murdaugh, who preceded him in death on July 21, 2001. 

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Kelli Stoner; special friends, Ricky Bell and Valery Bell of Charleston; a sister, Sissy; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Diane.

Combined committal services for he and his wife, Karen, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Burial will follow under direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
