SIKESTON — John R. Alexander, 57, died Feb. 4, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 22, 1961, in Nashville, Tenn., son of the late Judson and Nannie Mae Morris Alexander, he was of the Assembly of God belief and self-employed in lawn care service.
On July 11, 2002, at Tyler, he married to Sheila Britton, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Heather Alexander and Brian and Laura Alexander of Sikeston; one sister, Hershanna St. Arbor of Hayti; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Alexander and James Alexander; and one sister, Diane Hovis.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Allen Basham, pastor of Cape First Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
