BERTRAND, Mo. — Wilburn “Roy” Pemberton, 73, died Feb. 5, 2019, at his home in Bertrand.
Born Jan. 1, 1946, in Denventer, son of the lateClarence and Juanita Bickford Pemberton, he had lived in Missouri and Arkansas and was employed as a mechanic and truck driver. He was of the Baptist belief.
Surviving are one son, Jonathan Roy Pemberton of Little Rock, Ark.; seven brothers, Bobby Pemberton, Walter Pemberton, Michael Pemberton and Mark Pemberton of Diehlstadt, Billy Pemberton of Rochelle, Ill., Larry Pemberton of Sycamore, Ill., and Delbert Pemberton of Dexter; five sisters, Patsy Orth of DeKalb, Ill., Carolyn Taylor of Sycamore, Connie Simmons of Diehlstadt and Pamela McConkey and Sharon Dorris of Bertrand; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lesa Dietz; and one sister, Joyce White.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston with Chris Whybark of Sikeston officiating.
