SIKESTON – Every year, Taco John’s celebrates the holiday season by offering its fan-favorite, Nachos Navidad.

During the promotion, guests that order the festive menu item are encouraged to make a donation to a local charity in the area. In addition to customer donations, many Taco John’s franchisees donate a portion of the proceeds from every Nachos Navidad purchase to a worthy cause in their community.

This past holiday season, from Nov. 12 to Dec. 30, Taco John’s Sikeston raised $1,800 for Bulldog Pantry and recently presented a check to the organization. Bulldog Pantry is a local nonprofit that assists children in Sikeston by giving them food, clothing or whatever they might need to be successful in school and move forward in life.

“We look forward to Nachos Navidad each year because of the donations we receive and present to life-changing organizations throughout our community,” said franchisee Dawn Cook. “Our community loves coming in for Taco John’s signature Nachos Navidad and when they learn about the opportunity to make a donation, they are always excited to participate. We can’t wait to raise more money and celebrate with the community next holiday season.”

Taco John’s Sikeston is located at 1409 E. Malone Ave. and is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
