Title Stolen Jayco Traveler White Hawk $45,402.52 Arrest Made and Recovered
MARBLE HILL, Mo. — On Monday, the Marble Hill Police Department received a report of a stolen new Jayco Traveler White Hawk Camper valued at $45,402.52 that occurred on Sunday.
The complainant said he was coming from Indiana to deliver the camper to Crestview RV Center in Buda, Texas. The driver unhooked the camper on an empty business parking lot inside the City of Marble Hill around 11 a.m. to visit family on Easter.
The driver said he checked on the camper around 6 p.m. and the camper was still there. When the driver returned at 12:15 a.m., the camper was gone.
Thanks to neighbors watching the area, pictures were taken pictures of what appeared to be suspicious to them. The photos revealed the suspect vehicle and time frame.
Having the time frame and the support of a local business, Amerimart, who had video footage of a vehicle pulling the camper around 7 p.m.
On Monday evening Marble Hill Police Chief Marc Tragesser and another officer located the owner of the vehicle in the City of Marble Hill and placed Rickey Childers of Marble Hill under arrest for stealing.
Childers cooperated with Marble Hill Police Department and the camper was located and returned.
Childers is currently being held in Bollinger County Sheriff Office. On Tuesday, Childers’ bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty in court of law.
