BERTRAND, Mo. — Carl Melvin Lynch, 73, died April 25, 2019, at his home in Bertrand.
Born Nov. 12, 1945, at Sikeston, son of the late Cecil Earl Lynch and Helen Dale Peters Lynch, he had lived most of his life in Bertrand and had served in the Missouri National Guard. A carpenter, he had worked for McTigue-Parker Construction Co., Bunge Corp. and Davco Corp. of Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of the Sikeston Eagles Club.
On Dec. 11, 1981, he married Sandra Jean Crowell, who survives of the home in Bertrand.
Also surviving are three sons, Ricky Joe Lynch of Marmaduke, Ark., Jason Wade Lynch of Cape Girardeau and Justin Wayne Lynch of Bertrand; two daughters, Tammy Jean Jennings of Bertrand and Katina Beth Whitledge of Senath; one brother, John B. Lynch of Crown Point, Ind.; three sisters, Helen Virginia Jaco of Benton, Anita Joyce Parker of West Memphis, Ark., and Robbie Jo Haddock of Diehlstadt; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, the Rev. C.D. Lynch and Donald Ray Lynch.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Eric Lynch, Jessie Whitledge, Cole Whitledge, Gabriel Lynch, Jackson Lynch and Jeff Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Tommy Haddock, Jerry Peters, Todd Light and Carl Western.
