Sandy Giddens

NEW MADRID, Mo. — Sandra “Sandy” Giddens passed away May 6, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau surrounded by her husband and daughters.

She was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Sikeston, to the late J.P. and Virginia Johnson Holland.

On Sept. 6, 1974, in Lilbourn, she was married to Jon Giddens who survives of the home.

She was a member of VFW Post 7183 Ladies Auxiliary, Lilbourn, and the United Methodist Church, Lilburn. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, full of life, and no one left her table hungry.

Other survivors include: daughters, Lisa Michelle Roberts of Glen Allen and Courtney Leigh and Lacey Kaye Giddens of Lilbourn; sisters, Patricia and Steve McIntosh and Kathy and Mark King of New Madrid; grandchildren, Anthony and Rachael Roberts, Lilbourn, Austin and Lauren Roberts, Blue Springs, Dakota Roberts, Arkansas, Lindsey McMullin, Sikeston, Kaylyn McMullin, Cape Girardeau, Jillian Reed, Lilbourn, Jenna Reed, Lilbourn and Landon Reed, Lilbourn; and great-grandchildren, Ayrasun Roberts, Lilbourn, Ayden Roberts, Lilbourn, Maja Roberts, Blue Springs, and Asher Roberts, Lilbourn.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Jones; and one brother, W.A. Williams.

Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be at 2 p.m. with Mike or Jennifer Moxley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.

Pallbearers will be: Anthony Roberts, Dakota Roberts, Danny Taber, Darryl Moss, Billy Rodman and Brad Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Ayden Roberts, Landon Reed and James Reed.

Flowers may be sent to Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
