SIKESTON — On Monday, May 9, 2019, Richard Wilfred Trum Jr., husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 71.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Mattie Recker Trum, and his daughter, Frances Trum Pearson, and sons, Tyler, Richard and Randy. Rick is survived by his five grandchildren, Edward, Trinity, Hunter, Wil and Bryce; and his half sisters, Karen Cunningham and Nicki Caprone.

Rick was a storyteller, part-time listener and full-time personality who never met a stranger or resisted donating free advice. A one-of-a-kind friend, who never missed a card game, dominoes or finding the long way on a short trip, he loved others more than self and spoke of happiness more than money.

A funeral service in memory of Rick will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with services at 2 p.m., officiated by Ed Pangburn.

Interment will follow in the family plot at Mounds Park Cemetery in New Madrid.
