SIKESTON – The Southeast Missouri Food Bank has announced the addition of two staff members who will be involved in development, communications and service delivery.
Lisa Church joins the SEMO Food Bank as chief advancement officer, a position that became open when former Chief Advancement Officer Joey Keys was named Chief Executive Officer earlier this year. In the advancement role Church will promote the mission, programs and services of the Food Bank through development, fund-raising and donor relations programs.
“We’re glad to have Lisa join our team because she brings a wealth of experience in development and marketing communications,” Keys said. “She also understands our mission and the importance of providing food to families who so desperately need it.”
A native of Scott County, Church has spent most of her career in Sedalia, MO. Her previous work experience includes serving as executive director of communications and the foundation at Bothwell Regional Health Center, public relations director at an advertising agency, and managing editor of The Sedalia Democrat newspaper. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
“I’m excited to be back home in southeast Missouri and to be working with an organization such as the Food Bank where we can help people with one of their most basic needs – having food for their family,” Church said.
Justin Mann has joined the Food Bank as digital media and SNAP outreach specialist. In that role he uses social media channels to communicate the Food Bank’s services and programs to clients, donors and the general public. He also assists with educating clients about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and helps eligible clients enroll for the service.
A native of Wayne County, Mann has spent most of his career in Cape Girardeau. His previous work experience includes working as an on-air radio personality for 100.7 KGMO, Mix 96.5 and Real Rock 99.3. Mann has also worked as a reporter for the Southeast Arrow and is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism.
“I’m ready to take our social media to the next level and spread the word about the great programs our organization has to offer,” Mann said.
