Charles Spencer

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — Charles Henry Spencer, 70, died June 22, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 7, 1949, in Portageville, son of the late Theolene Burgess Spencer and Emery Spencer, he had been a member of the Hayward Baptist Church since 1959.

On Nov. 2, 1984, in Kennett, he married Regina Ann Wells; she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Rene Spencer of Gobbler; one daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Edward Burge of Hayward; two brothers, Larry Spencer of Hayward and Jimmy Spencer of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Tonette Spencer and Shawn Crawford; and one sister, Linda Wagner.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. DeWayne Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
