Pauline Williams
SIKESTON — Pauline Williams, age 89, of Sikeston, Missouri, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born July 22, 1929, in Monette, Arkansas, to the late Samuel Franklin and Jo Esther Brown Eaton. She was a founding member of Temple Baptist Church until it disbanded. She was a good and faithful servant who gave of her time and talents in many church ministries throughout her life, including opening her home to those she loved. She was the church secretary for Charleston Baptist Association and Tanner Street Church.
On Dec. 30, 1950, she married Raymond Howard Williams; he preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2012, to help begin construction on her new mansion in glory.
Survivors include: four daughters, Ramona (Rick) Burnett of Sikeston, Carla Williams of Sikeston, Rebecca (James) Adams of Union, Kentucky and Teala (Marty) Mainzer of Kirklin, Indiana; one brother; and one sister. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pauline's greatest blessing was her family and her greatest desire was to be surrounded by and cared for by her children when she could no longer care for them herself.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Dara Leigh Williams; one brother, Charles Franklin Eaton; and one grandson, Rory William Mainzer; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019, beginning at 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Glen Cantrell will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
