SIKESTON — Bobby "Jack" Burns Sr., 69, died July 6, 2019, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 28, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Hawkins) Burns, he was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God and had worked for Mission Missouri.
On March 13, 1971, he married Linda Ann Martin; she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Bobby Jack and Amy Burns Jr. of Indiana; one daughter, DeeDee and Keith Willett of Sikeston; two brothers, Roger Burns of Sikeston and Eugene Burns of Dielstadt; two sisters, Sandra Hurley of Canalou and Darlene Abegg of Godfrey, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Burns and Howard Burns; and three sisters, Viola Britt, Sadie Jenkins and Beatrice Dowdy.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston with Matthew Brooks, pastor, and Mike Mahurin officiating.
