WARDELL, Mo. — Donald J. Boatwright, 91, died July 1, 2019, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon.
Born June 1, 1928, in Portageville, son of the late Mary Zook Boatwright and Dave Boatwright, he worked 43 years for the Little River Drainage District, serving as foreman. He served in the U.S. Army.
His wife, Mary Crafton Boatwright, preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 1985.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Boatwright on March 4, 1995; one daughter, Pam Turley, on July 2, 2012; his brothers, Lewis, William Henry, Cecil, and Steve Boatwright; and his sisters, Anna Mae Glass & Lena Pool. His son-in-law, Steven Fisher, May 14, 2017.
Survivors include one son, William Boatwright of Wardell; three daughters, Kathy Miller and Patty Fisher of Portageville and Lena Baldwin of Wardell; and 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from noon until service time at 3 p.m. July 6 at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Burial with full military rites followed in the Wardell Cemetery.
