Opal Hahn
CHARLESTON, Mo. — Opal L. Hahn, 81, died July 14, 2019, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 15, 1938, in the Dogwood Community, daughter of the late Jess Dalton Douglas and Dovie Jane Woods Douglas, she had lived the past several years in Charleston where she was employed for over 18 years at the Mississippi County Detention Center until her retirement. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston.
Her first husband, Vernon Freeland, preceded her in death. On Jan. 3, 1998, she married Moran Hahn Jr., who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one brother, Vernon Douglas of Charleston; one sister, Hettie Rodgers, of Lilbourn; and her godson and his wife, Danny and Linda Harris; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Nettie Cavner, Imogene Martin and Gladys Simmons.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston. David McLucas, pastor, and Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Bickford, Gerald Douglas, Allen Douglas, Hunter Harris, Steve Martin and Richard Griffen.
