SIKESTON — Carl Gene Western, 70, died July 18, 2019, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 3, 1948, in Bement, son of the late Jim and Carrie Carlyle Western, he had served in the United States Army.
Survivors include: one son, James Western of Wamego, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and David Hart of Matthews; two sisters, Mable Holmes of Sikeston and Burma Baker of Jackson; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at noon Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Jason Schrieber officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood.
