SIKESTON — Glenda Sue Riley, 76, died July 21, 2019, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. 

Born Feb. 24, 1943, in New Madrid, Mo., to the late William and Delcie (Phegley) Helms, she was a life-long resident of this area, a member of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church and had been a personnel manager at National Lock and office manager at the Sikeston Concrete Plant.

On Nov. 13, 1986, in Sikeston, she married Michael Riley, who survives of the home.

Other survivors are: two sons Tim Wheetley of Sikeston and Jamie (Brandy) Riley of Jacksonville, Fla. and five grandchildren, Chance Wheetley, Trace Wheetley, Ellie Riley, Cannon Riley and Kayden Johnston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, C. R. York, Jr. and one brother, Bill Helms.

Graveside memorial rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Dunlap, pastor of Abundant Life in Christ Church in Charleston to officiate.
