SIKESTON — William Causey, 85, passed away Aug. 15, 2019, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 15, 1933, in Bethel Springs, Tenn., to the late Lonie and Graple Cecelia (Moore) Causey, William was a member of First Assembly of God, had worked as a brick mason and had worked for the Standard Democrat for 28 years before retiring.
He is survived by one son, Curtis D. Causey of Sikeston; one daughter, JoAnn Reed of Sikeston; two brothers, Clifford Causey of Sikeston and Travis Causey of Porter, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ellen Brower of New Port Richey, Fla., and Lonnie Carolyn Fisk of Troy, Ill.; four grandchildren, Robert Pipes of Dexter, Kelly Friga of Milan, Jada Carter and Sarah Hyde both of Sikeston; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Joe Causey.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. John McHaffie will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
