Stone takes Assistant Principal position

Many folks have seem him on the girls basketball sidelines, however this year BJ Stone will be more behind the desk as the Portageville Assistant Principal for both the high school and middle.

“One of my goals this school year is to build strong personal relationships with the student body and develop strong working bonds with the staff,” said Stone.

His expectations for the year include creating a positive and safe learning environment for the students, and attacking each day with enthusiasm. He has 12 years teaching experience and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management, and a Masters in Secondary Education.

He will be coaching Middle School Girls Basketball this year.

His office is located in the high school building where the principals office used to be.

He and his wife Terri Taylor Stone have two children, Laney, 8th grade; and Brady, 6th grade.
