SIKESTON — Betty Jane Clark, 89, passed away Aug. 27, 2019, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 13, 1930, in New Madrid, she was the daughter of the late Seibert and Alice Lewis Wescoat.

On March 14, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Edward Arlene Clark, who survives of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include: six daughters and four sons-in-law, Terry and Lindell Eakins of Sikeston, Sherry and James Bonner Jr., Melanie Stinson and Jane and Kenny Yates of Sikeston and Jean and Robert Medlock and Beth Borton of New Madrid; one daughter-in-law, Janet Clark of Poplar Bluff; one brother, John Wescoat of New Madrid; one sister, Joan Smith of La Forge; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend since first grade, Pat Gill Blankenship.

She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Bruce Clark; one son-in-law, Ralph Borton; two brothers; four sisters; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid with Jeremy Jackson officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Padilla, Caleb Stinson, Gabriel Stinson, Joey Higgerson, Thomas Higgerson, Elias Borton, Hunter Borton and Jared Yates.
