NEW MADRID, Mo. — Karen Lee Cook, 68, died Aug. 17, 2019.

Born Dec. 28, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of the late Guy George and Lelia Mae Haubold Turner. 

On June 12, 1970, in Marston, she married Calvin Cook, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1994. 

Survivors include: her daughters, Sherry, and Donald Brown, Chrystal Cook, and Angie Mays all of New Madrid; one brother, Bill Turner of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Belinda Turner of Sikeston; sister, Jeannie Redden; special friend Sue Lowery; and five grandchildren

Pallbearers were: Nick White, Austin White, Devin Brown and Michael Wayne Brown.

Honorary pallbearers were: Ronnie Adams, Gary Cook, Billy Turner, Bobby Turner, Josh Wessel, Matt Wessel, and Dustin Cruse

Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church, where services were at 11 a.m. Aug. 21 with Dan Wisely and Jason Redden officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville City Cemetery.
