BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Henry Junior “Junior” Cagle, 77, died Sept. 4, 2019, at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter.
Born March 13, 1942, in Leora, son of the late Henry Albert and Evelyn Jewell Walker Cagle, he had lived in the Bloomfield area all his life. He had worked as a teacher for 22 years at the Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center and had also been an auto mechanic, done auto body work and was a gunsmith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion.
On April 12, 1963, in Kansas City, he married Ruth Harris, who survives of the home in Bloomfield.
Other survivors include: one son, Duane Cagle of Wellington, Fla.; two daughters, Sherri (Robert) Tomlinson of Poplar Bluff and Janet Holmes of Sikeston; three brothers, Bill Cagle of Poplar Bluff, Charles Wayne Cagle of Bloomfield and Harold Gene Cagle of Dexter; two sisters, Laverne Fargarson of Shreveport, La., and Shirley Douglas of Branson West; and six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-stepgranddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Walker; two sisters, Barbara Mayhall and Gonda Buckalew; and infant brother, Clinton Cagle.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday with Dr. Steve Proctor of
Poplar Bluff officiating.
Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
