Richard Archie

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Richard Archie, 79, died Sept. 7, 2019, at East Prairie Nursing Center. 

Born June 15, 1940, son of the late Raleigh and Mildred Davis Archie, he was a retired farmer and attended Elm Street Baptist Church.

On Feb. 27, 1963, in East Prairie, he married Linda Pope; she preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1980.

Survivors include: one son, Richard Archie of East Prairie; one daughter, Reba Stewart of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Billy Wayne Archie of Kentucky; two sisters, Joyce Ann Archie of Marston and Lois Cole of Harding, Ind.; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
