Irene Stringfellow

CHAFFEE, Mo. — Irene Stringfellow, 91, died Sept. 12, 2019, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 8, 1928, in Loretto, Tenn., daughter of the late James David Taylor and Emma Alice Pugh Taylor shebwas a former machine operator for Sports Specialty Shoe Company in Chaffee and member of the General Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On April 13, 1962, she married Charles “Blue” Stringfellow, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ricky Lynn Dennison, two sisters, Vida Eby and Exia Dolan; by five brothers, Estes, Earnest, Bose, Zeb and Junior Taylor.

Survivors include: one niece, Sue Traw; and two nephews, Mike Eby and Dennis Dolan.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
