PARIS, Tenn. — Cynthia Gail Elder, 71, formerly of Dexter, died Oct. 16, 2019, at her home.  Born Sept. 11, 1948, in Knull County, W.Va., daughter of the late Pierce and Maxine Evans Bounds, she was a homemaker.  Survivors include: her companion, Billy Rushing of the home; five sons, Arthur Boles of Charleston, Clinton Rushing of Bloomfield, Gary Rushing of Poe, Bert Rushing of East Prairie and Margel Boles Jr. ...

PARIS, Tenn. — Cynthia Gail Elder, 71, formerly of Dexter, died Oct. 16, 2019, at her home. 

Born Sept. 11, 1948, in Knull County, W.Va., daughter of the late Pierce and Maxine Evans Bounds, she was a homemaker. 

Survivors include: her companion, Billy Rushing of the home; five sons, Arthur Boles of Charleston, Clinton Rushing of Bloomfield, Gary Rushing of Poe, Bert Rushing of East Prairie and Margel Boles Jr. of Lilbourn; six daughters, Virginia Warren of Poplar Bluff, Carol Rushing of Dexter, Barbara Smith of Springfield, Missy Meyers of Poplar Bluff, Crystal Sims of East Prairie and Ruthie Boles of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Jeannie Snodgrass and Marie Nelson of Alliance, Ohio; and 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with the Rev. Royce Champion officiating.

Burial will follow in Anniston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Sims, Tyler Rapert, Corey James, Billy Forester, Scott Cartwright and Margel Boles Jr.
