Wanted man arrested in Sikeston

SIKESTON — A man wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s office was arrested early Friday in Sikeston.
At 8:30 a.m. Friday, Christopher Bell, 38, of Sikeston and Columbia, was located in the 300 block of Westgate in Sikeston and arrested by Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers, according to Lt. Jon Broom with DPS.
Bell, who was wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s office for a probation violation with an original charge of possession of a weapon, was spotted by Sikeston DPS officers at 2:06 p.m. Oct. 12 near New Madrid and Dorothy Streets in Sikeston. At that time, officers pursued Bell on foot, and he was eventually able to elude officers, Broom said.
