Women’s Conference is Nov. 2

SIKESTON — The Fellowship Baptist Church will hold their 14th Annual Women’s Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2 at the church, located at 1801 Ables Road.

The theme will be “Precious Treasures of the Heart” with Susan Abar the guest speaker.

Laid off from work and diagnosed with breast cancer, Abar didn’t think life could get much worse, but it did. After a bilateral mastectomy, doctors discovered a fast growing mass on her pancreas. Facing certain death, Abar discovered the beauty of her feminine heart hidden and hurting beneath the scars of her past.

Abar will tell her story, revealing God’s compassion and mercy through a heart’s longing, a miracle of healing and the lessons of two pennies, a rainbow and a woman named Mercy.
