Clara Lingle

NEW MADRID, Mo. - Clara Lingle, 90, died Oct. 24, 2019, at her home in New Madrid.

Born Sept. 8, 1929, in Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Tricie and Edna Mae Counsil McCann.

On Oct. 7, 1945, in Sikeston, she married Thomas Earl Lingle, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1980.

Survivors include: three sons and three daughters-in-law, Chuck (Jane) Lingle and Norman (Kim) Lingle of Sikeston, Terry (Tammy) Lingle of Benton; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Doris (Ron) Thomas of Morley, Ethel (Eugene) Adams of Sikeston, Barb (Dale) Haynes of New Madrid; one brother, Bill McCann of Sikeston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Earl Lingle; two sisters, Norma Jean Yant and Ann Pearson; one brother, Charles McCann; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with her grandson, Brian Adams, officiating.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Chase Lingle, Chris Denning, Daren Abernathy, Gaige Adams, Ryan McCoy and Justin Christian.

Honorary pallbearers will be: David Yant, Scotty Presson, Coty Cook, Buster Lingle and Trey Cook.
