DEXTER, Mo. — Jennie Pulliam, 69, died Oct. 28, 2019, at Southeast Health of Cape Girardeau.

Born May 4, 1950, in Truman, Ark., daughter of the late Bonard Newell and Mary Kathryn Graue Newell, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter and a homemaker.

On June 20, 1966, in Essex, she married George Pulliam, who survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Shonda and Derek Tyra of Essex; three sons, Thomas Pulliam of Bell City, James Pulliam and wife Crystal of Sikeston and George Pulliam and wife Jamie of High Ridge; two sisters, Tresa Freeland and Sandra Hendrix of Dexter; two brothers, David Newell of Perryville and Randy Newell of Dexter; and nine grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Glenda Kearbey, Norma Hargrove and Donna Pemberton; and by her brother, Terry Newell.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral home in Dexter, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Danny Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
