CHARLESTON, Mo. — Donald Dane Merideth, 70, died Nov. 6, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born Dec. 14, 1948, in Glasgow, Ky., son of the late Robert and Marjorie Lee Hogan Merideth, he was a 1966 graduate of Park City High School. He worked at various factories, as a telephone lineman. CHARLESTON, Mo. — Donald Dane Merideth, 70, died Nov. 6, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 14, 1948, in Glasgow, Ky., son of the late Robert and Marjorie Lee Hogan Merideth, he was a 1966 graduate of Park City High School. He worked at various factories, as a telephone lineman. In 1970, he began a 33-year career at Westvaco Paper Mill in Wickliffe, Ky., until his retirement in 2003.

On Dec. 27, 1969, in Cairo, Ill., he married Janis Rae Carter, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Virgil Suitor of Congress, Ariz.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jody Lee and Jennifer Merideth of Benton; one sister, Treva Nell Childress of Park City, Ky.; one brother, Robert Wayne Mereideth of Jamestown, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his father- and mother-in-law, Edwin and Jo Elma Houston Carter.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate.
