MATTHEWS, Mo. — Kenneth Wayne Walters Sr., 80, died Nov. 7, 2019, at his home in Matthews.

Born Dec. 1, 1938, in Anniston, son of the late Tyrus Henry and Julia Weakley Walters, he had been a self-employed farmer before retiring.

On Jan. 1, 1961, he married Wanda Jean Standridge; she survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth Wayne Walters Jr. of Matthews; two daughters, Connie Ferrell of East Prairie and Lisa Dawn Cummins of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Richard Walters of East Prairie; one sister, Aillene Norman of Sikeston; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Billy Walters, Donnie Walters, Andy Walters, Joe Walters, and James Walters; and seven sisters, Nadine Stallings, Bernita Stegall, Mary Helen Dixon, Mildred Mainord, Evelyn Huslip, Maxine Talley and Ann Bailey.
