CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. — First State Bank & Trust Co., Inc. recently promoted Charles F. “Trey” Cain III to south market president, an area encompassing Caruthersville, Portageville and Hayti. Most of Cain’s responsibilities will now expand to his new territory: overseeing operations, outlining strategic opportunities, developing mutually beneficial partnerships and increasing community outreach throughout the region.
“Trey’s exceptional vision, guidance and leadership have strengthened FSBT’s financial performance in Caruthersville,” said Lance Crawford, chief operations officer, “Externally, he’s proven his dedication and knowledge to our customers repeatedly through a consultative approach as well as been an incredible spokesperson for this organization. I expect that to continue on a regional scale.”
Since 2016, Cain has remained a steadfast member of the FSBT Caruthersville team. Moving through the ranks of commercial loan officer, vice president and branch president, his promotion to south market president is only natural. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering technology and business with an emphasis in enterprise management from Mississippi State University. He also completed the Southeastern School of Banking at Vanderbilt University and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
“As I move my work beyond Caruthersville, I’ll further develop opportunities and relationships that drive this region forward,” said Cain. “The Bootheel area continually shows it’s eager for expansion, and I’m ready to accelerate progress.”
