PARMA, Mo. — Ethel Reatha Cravens, 100, died Nov. 12, 2019, at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Feb. 2, 1919, in Hartville, daughter of the late Daniel J. and Dora E. Howard Painter, she had lived in Parma since 1937. She was a member of the First Pentacostal Church in Parma.
On Sept. 14, 1937, in Hartville, she married Floyd H. Cravens, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2000.
Survivors include: three sons, Danny Cravens of Parma, Billy Cravens of New Madrid, Junior Cravens of Auburn, Ga.; five daughters, Lola Steiger of Poplar Bluff, Thelma Knight of French Village, Ruby Porter of New Madrid, Linda Lewis of Sikeston and Retta Murphy of Wappapello; and 22 grandchildren; over 60 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and James "Cotton" Cravens, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from noon until service time at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma with the Rev. G.L. Keene of New Madrid officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery at Bernie.
