NEW MADRID, Mo. — Roger Dale Williams entered into his heavenly home on Nov. 11, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 68 years.
He was born Oct. 15, 1951, in East Prairie, son of the late Lloyd Buford and Jessie Willine Jackson Williams.
On April 5, 1968, in New Madrid, he was married to Linda Lou Wathen Williams, who survives of the home.
He was self-employed with his lawn care business until 2016. He was a man centered around loving his family. His main goal in life was to be a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he did it with a passion until his Lord called him home.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Angie Williams of Kewanee; three grandchildren, Matthew Allen and Kaitlyn Williams of New Madrid, Joshua David Williams of Kewanee and Elizabeth Grace Williams of Kewanee; great-grandson, Rhett Matthew Williams of New Madrid, and another great-grandson due in March; sisters, Janie Berniece and Laverne Rees of Murphysboro, Ill., and Linda Kay and Don Beardsley of Sikeston; brothers, Lloyd “Jan” and Carol Williams of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Doug and Suzanne Williams of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tony and Susie Williams of Columbia, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Albert Williams, Larry Daniel Williams and Kenneth Wayne Williams.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday with Brothers Dan Wisely and Tom McCanless officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
