Gwinlin Melton

SIKESTON — Gwinlin JoAnn Melton, 84, died Dec. 7, 2019, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 16, 1934, in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Viola Walker Pixley.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Harold and Debbie Lancaster of Delta, Ronnie and Linda Davis of Elk Creek, Va., and Gary Melton of Pekin, Ill.; six daughters and two son-in-laws, Teresa Sheppard of San Antonio, Texas, Sherry and Jess McGee of Palm Beach, Fla., Georgia and James Cook and Margie Todd of Sikeston, Peggie Peters of Caruthersville and Kathy Wilson of Dexter; five sisters, Mildred Parks, Patsy Sanders and Glida Eisenhower of Sikeston, Lillian DeWitt of Miner and Mary Clark of Dexter; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Pixley; and one sister, Marie Sides.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
