MILLSAP, Texas — Imogene Maxine Hatley, 93, died Nov. 30, 2019.
Born June 23, 1926, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late Lester and Faye Peel, following high school graduation, she enlisted in the Army Corps of Cadets Nursing School during World War II. She worked as a nurse and nursing home administrator, and she was a missionary.
Her husband, James Wayman Hatley, preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers Edwin Peel and Charles Peel.
Survivors include: four daughters, Tura Cason, Kathy Bassham, Beth Crooms and Mary Geiger; two brothers, John Glenn Peel and Darrell Peel; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville.
Burial was at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the DFW National Cemetery.
Pall bearers were: Sterling Lyons, Mark Peel, Jacob Deiman, Scott Cason, Gary Crooms, Grayson Deiman, Rhett Loftis, Keith Deiman and Brandon Bones.
Honorary pallbearer was Gary Bassham.
