Jettie Daniel
LILBOURN, Mo. — Jettie Mae “Peanut” Daniel, 89, died Jan. 1, 2020, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 12, 1930, in Marianna, Arkansas, daughter of the late James and Louise Hicks, she was a professional cook and employed at Cross Truck Stop in New Madrid and 76 Truck Stop in Matthews. After retirement, she was employed as a green thumb worker where she cooked and performed other tasks at several places, including Howardville Schools, Lilbourn Elementary School, Howardville City Hall and Golden Age Nutrition Center in New Madrid. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Catron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include: five sons, Lee (Cynthia) Daniel of Mobile, Alabama, Tommy Daniel Jr. of Lilbourn, Jimmy (Annette) Daniel of Howardville and James (Sherrie) Daniel of Fisher, Indiana; five daughters, Shirley Nickerson of Mobile, Alabama, Sandra Daniel of Sikeston, Brenda (Coyvell) Jackson of Cape Girardeau, Stacy (Walter) Daniel of Lilbourn and Pat Daniel of Carbondale, Illinois; and 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at Saturday at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn with Richard Houston, pastor of First Baptist Church in Catron, officiating.
Burial will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery at Catron with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
