Doris Livingston
SIKESTON — Doris Imogene Livingston, 89, died Jan. 7, 2020, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 3, 1931, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Luther and Alpha Baker, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had worked as a secretary for Bank of Sikeston before retiring.
Her husband, Medford Livingston, preceded her in death on May 28, 2002.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Baker; and four sisters, Mildred Thrower, Evelyn Taylor, Judy Barnett, and Nina Baker.
Survivors include: three daughters, Laura K. Carter of Bray, Oklahoma, Melissa Ellen Livingston of Brandon, Florida, and Medina L. Wood of Sikeston; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Buddy Heaton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston with full military honors.
