JACKSON, Mo. — Reba W. Ward, 87, died Jan.10, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 28, 1932, in Dexter, daughter of late Freda Frank "Pete" and Ella Miller Brazel, she lived in Dexter most of her life and moved to Jackson four years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter. She had worked at Hamra's and Stovall's Department Stores and later was a rural mail carrier.

On Nov. 17, 1951, she married James C. "Jack" Ward, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2000.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Lauri Ward of Haslet, Texas, and Treye and Carol Ward of Fruitland; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Chuck and Shane Ward; a daughter, Judy Blackler; and one brother, Jim Brazel.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Skylor Guess of Walnut Ridge, Ark., officiating.

Burial will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
