Dusty Nelson

CHARLESTON, Mo. — Richard Allen “Dusty” Nelson, 78, died Jan. 13, 2020, at his home in Charleston.

Born Sept. 25, 1941, at Chino, Calif., he was the son of the late Rodney Odell Nelson and Nellie May Ruyle Nelson.

Survivors include: his children, Twy’la Dawnn Nelson-Lopez, Kimberly Jo Cooper, Kristen Marie Nelson and Karen Scott; one sister, Shirley Jacobson; his companion, LaDonna Sue Brown Cates of the home; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
