SIKESTON — Tiara Ross, Human Resources Business Partner II at SoutheastHEALTH, has been named to the board of directors of Southeast Missouri Food Bank.

“We are very fortunate to have Tiara join our board of directors as we continue to raise funds and develop programs to feed our hungry neighbors in southeast Missouri,” said food bank Chief Executive Officer Joey Keys. “Tiara embodies the spirit of our mission, and her talents and expertise will fit perfectly with our current board.”

Ross has held multiple human resource positions within SoutheastHEALTH since joining the organization in 2012. She also has been involved with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America and Leadership Cape.

“I would like to give back to the community,” Ross said. “Working with the food bank is a way to have a huge impact on local families who are struggling. If I can make a difference for just one family, that would mean a lot to me.”

Ross’ appointment was approved at the board’s December meeting. She replaces former board member Janey Foust, Jackson, who served nine years on the board.

The board also elected new officers to one-year terms. The new officers are Chairman Marty Platz, Vice Chairman Roger Guilliams and Secretary Danielle Poyner. The board thanked Gary Elders for his previous two years as chairman. Other members of the food bank board include Frank Jones, Mark Avery, Julianna Montgomery Ford, Chris Conroy and Keys.
