Aileene Norman

SIKESTON — Aileene Norman, 84, died April 15, 2020.

Born Aug. 12, 1935, daughter of the late Tyrus Henry and Julia Weakley Walters, she worked in the Sikeston High School cafeteria for 25 years and was a member of Illinois Avenue Baptist Church.

On July 15, 1954, she married the late George Alfred Norman, who preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 2011.

Survivors include: three sons, Andy (Carmel) Norman of Sikeston, Randy (Julie) Norman of Searcy, Ark., and Gerald (David) Norman of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and one brother, Richard Walters of East Prairie; and two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Billy Walter, Donnie Walters, Andy Walters, Joe Walters, James Walters and Kenneth Walters; and seven sisters, Nadine Stallings, Bernita Stegall, Mary Helen Dixon, Mildred Mainord, Evelyn Hyslip, Maxine Talley and Ann Bailey.

A private family visitation will be Friday in the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston with graveside services at 11 a.m. at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie. Tony Burrows of Sikeston and her son, Gerald Norman, will officiate.

Burial will follow.

Pallbearers will be: Andy Norman, Randy Norman, Gerald Norman, David Danner, Brent Russom and Richard Walters.
