Norma Evans
FENTON, Mo. — Norma Lee Evans, 93, died May 7, 2020, at the Delmar Gardens Meramec Valley in Fenton.
Born Feb. 3, 1927, in Chaffee, Mo., daughter of the late James Paul and Eda Irenie Robbins Jones, she lived many years in the St. Louis, Mo., area before retiring to Chaffee. She was a licensed hairdresser and a longtime member of the First Baptist church of Chaffee. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign War and S.O.S. Clubs.
On Dec. 8, 1941, she married Ottis Walter Evans Sr., who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Wayne (Annetta) Evans and Jimmy Dale (Carol) Evans; seven siblings; Wanda (Evans) Ryan, Carl Jones, Earl (Marie) Jones, Glenda (Carl) Good, Doris (Jim) Ward and Bobby Jones.
Survivors include: one son, Ottis (Janet) Evans Jr.; four siblings, Ann Isbell, Jim (Barb) Jones, Marilyn (Carlton) Hunt and William (Maria) Jones; and seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
